The Photographer
I've always been a ham when it comes to being in front of the camera, but when I started high school I discovered that I loved being behind the lens just as much. For four years I studied the art of photography at the Las Vegas Academy. I learned the wonder of developing film and making prints in a darkroom, and spent countless hours staring at a Photoshop workspace. Throughout High school I was an officer in my school's photo club and SkillsUSA chapter. I competed at both regional and state levels of with SkillsUSA. In my Senior year, I was nominated by my photo teacher for a Las Vegas Academy Award in photography. Currently, I study commercial photography at the College of Southern Nevada.
The Work
The work featured in the Portfolio is a combination of pieces the earliest dating back to my Sophomore year of high school. Some of the pieces have been turned in for a grade, shown in galleries, and entered into competitions. One of the series was given a grade of 5 from College Board Advanced Placement graders. Most images are shot with a Canon Rebel and many have been altered with Photoshop. I like to shoot a wide variety of subjects and techniques.
